Arabic Sentence Structure

Nominal Sentence (الجملة الاسمية)

Subject (مبتدأ) + Predicate (خبر) — no verb needed!

البيتُ كبيرٌ = The house is big (lit. "The house big")

محمدٌ طالبٌ = Muhammad is a student

الكتابُ جميلٌ = The book is beautiful

Verbal Sentence (الجملة الفعلية)

Verb + Subject + Object

ذَهَبَ محمدٌ إلى المسجد = Muhammad went to the mosque

قرأَ الطالبُ الكتابَ = The student read the book
