Stopping Marks in the Mushaf

Rules When Stopping

Ibtida — Beginning Recitation

Never begin mid-word. Begin at a point that preserves meaning. Always say ta'awwudh ("A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytanir rajeem") when starting or resuming.
